Medegen Medical Products, LLC, a Medical Action Company is seeking a

Inventory Control Manager for a 24/7 injection molding operation

This position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Understands all of the available functions in SAP system and how each interacts with the others. Understands how the WMS drives the assignment of tasks based upon an individual's work area. Uses this knowledge to train supervisors and lead personnel to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Directs the troubleshooting of system behavior and tracking of completed tasks. The ICM must be able to relate that behavior to both the end-user and the System Administrators for resolution.
  • Under the direction of the Distribution & Logistics Manager establishes goals for the Inventory functions. Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of Warehouse Managed and Inventory Managed locations, to ensure a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze data on GOGI (Production) errors and other SAP transactions and errors to determine root cause of failures. Present recommendations to be taken to eliminate the root cause of errors.
  • Lead efforts to introduce changes in the SAP related processes at the plant.
  • Train teammates on the proper use of all SAP transactions.
  • Contribute to the achievement of corporate projects and performance objectives.
  • Reconciles inventories to book records and make adjustments.
  • Recommend processes to improve the management of inventories on and off site.
  • Manage, research, and resolve daily inventory discrepancies, making adjustments as needed to keep inventory accurate.
  • Manage daily replenishments to the DC, and transfer product from the offsite warehouse back to the DC to meet customer demand.
  • Consolidate as needed to create space utilization, and anticipate space requirements to support production during weekend schedule.
  • Work closely with Buyers and Schedulers to best meet material needs.
  • Manages 5-6 employees in the Inventory Control Department including all inventory movement activities for Raw Materials and Finished Goods products.
  • Interacts on a daily basis with multiple departments to ensure inventory integrity is maintained and all processes are followed.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience and/or training in high volume distribution.
  • 5 year college or university program certificate preferred.
  • 3 years experience in SAP, WMS and Production system.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organization skills; be able to interact with various levels of internal as well as external personnel.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks is a must.
